ALL ABOUT ABBY

Doctor Abigail Lockhart or Abby as she likes to be called made her first appearance on ER during the 6^th season at Carols Obstetric Nurse. Considering the departure of Carol (Julianna Marguiles) Abby becomes a main character on ER during the 6^th season. Throughout this time we get to know more about Abby, her home life, and her struggles to become the person she wants to be. Abby’s mother played by Sally Field is a women living with Bi-Polar disorder the struggle Abby endured growing up with her mother led her to her alcoholism and her very unstable love life. Abby is divorced and throughout the show has an on again off again relationship with Carter (Noah Wyle) and Luka (Goran Visjinic).

Now a day on ER Abby has achieved her goal of going from med student, to resident, to attending doctor on ER. Her recent marriage to Luka Kovach and the birth of their son has also made her a better-rounded character. Abby is one of the most well loved characters of ER and has been on the show for almost 9 years. Although she is beginning to battle with her alcoholism once more fans hope that Abby will recover before the departure of her character at the end of this season.
